You’ve heard the quote, “good things come to those who wait.” This quote is usually given to encourage someone as they eagerly await, with anticipation, something to happen or change. Starting a church has been no exception to this cultural saying. It takes much time, planning, coordination, and resources…and it’s not always easy to be patient. Let’s not forget about God’s timing in all of this as He directs what we are doing as we continue to plan ahead for all things that still need to take place with Ever Rise Church! This process has been relatively slow up until this point, but that’s beginning to change!
While we have been waiting upon the Lord (to paraphrase the prophet Isaiah), we haven’t been sitting idly by. We have been waiting for God to give us some answers, but in many ways, we are starting to see much progress in the life of our church. We shared in the last newsletter that our plant team agreed upon the mission statement for Ever Rise. Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve also been able to identify the 6 core values that will help drive our church forward! Our goal is to baptize believers in Christ, because it is a person’s first step of obedience following Jesus, as we fulfill our mission and follow the example set by Jesus.
